doesn't this alexander mcqueen dress look like the work by artist MC Escher?

I get so happy when fashion designers get inspired by artists... reminded me of the first time I took note of it. I saw a Satye Paul sari inspired by Jackson Pollock and another by Lichtenstein.... I'll come back to post photos once found again.

"Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could." -Louise Erdrich (The Painted Drum: A Novel)

love. faith. hope.

“But love is always new. Regardless of whether we love once, twice, or a dozen times in our life, we always face a brand-new situation. Love can consign us to hell or to paradise, but it always takes us somewhere. We simply have to accept it, because it is what nourishes our existence. If we reject it, we die of hunger, because we lack the courage to stretch out a hand and pluck the fruit from the branches of the tree of life. We have to take love where we find it, even if that means hours, days, weeks of disappointment and sadness.

The moment we begin to seek love, love begins to seek us. And to save us.”

— Paulo Coelho

itty bitty...

I never kept up with the blog originally as planned. I got consumed by other off-line forms of spoiling myself out of what was originally to keep my hopes high at a time when I was feeling low.

Funny how this is the first time I've began blogging while being absolutely ecstatic and happiest in my life... a lovely, exciting place. A lovely, exciting way to write. So new, so refreshing. I know I won't be able to keep-up daily with the full schedule I have, but I promise to blog here more than on Facebook, which is where all my blogs started to be posted at.

I think I always felt inadequate in the boobage department, and oddly enough, I got that from other women rather than men. C cup women would make comments on how men swoon over their breasts and how I'm small. It wasn't until last year that I realized that I love my small breasts. Sure, I crack jokes, but I honestly love them. They're small, firm, perky. They'll always be perky... sweet lovin'. You'll never see models with big breasts. Big boobs are such an American thing. SO odd.

I'm starting to hate underwire bras. I really don't see a need for them for small breast sizes. I'm on a hunt for no wire, triangle silhouette, thin-strap (especially back, although not a must). I've seen some from Alexander Wang and Savant, but I'm opting for something more wallet friendly so I can sneak in a pair of heels too and not feel guilty.

Urban Outfitters has the Camille lace bra for $20

Forever21 usually has some for around $6-$10 too. No great selection online for my size and color (I prefer black only now... something sexy and classic about black rather than bold funky colors).

Hmmmm.... perhaps I'll stop by tomorrow in between essays and homework.

They even look so sexy just hanging there. I can only imagine wearing them and feeling extra sexy every day. And I don't think my boyfriend would mind seeing them around the house or hanging to dry ;)

au revoir,
beaux.

They say "decadence kills depression."

What more do I need to *finally* start a fashion blog full of musings and narcissism?

au revoir,
